Rapid City Police arrested Dionte Eagleman, 22, for a fatal stabbing near 6th Street Tuesday night when a man with a stab wound was taken to the hospital and later died—detectives from the RCPD and Pennington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the case and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Dakotans for Health sued Secretary of State Monae Johnson on Tuesday in federal court over a law that shortens the petition circulation window by three months— the group seeks a court order to block the law, which moves the filing deadline from May to February and makes it harder for voters to gather signatures.
