- ➤ The Sturgis Scooper girls won 57-47 against the Watertown Arrows on Friday night at West Gym, playing strongly in all four quarters. The Arrow boys lost 69-42 in the nightcap, leaving both teams with contrasting results. KBHB
- ➤ The No. 15 Black Hills State University men's basketball team snapped an 11-game losing streak with a 77-70 win against Northern State at Wachs Arena—its first win over NSU since 1978. Jaeton Hackley scored 22 points while head coach Ryan Thompson celebrated his 150th win in a non-conference game. KBHB
