- ➤ City Utility Maintenance Storm Division crews are clearing debris from a settling pond along Fifth Street, and the west southbound lane from Terracita Drive to Anamaria Drive is closed — drivers are urged to use alternate routes. Rapid City Journal
- ➤ Rapid City’s Building Services Division issued 2,428 permits valued at over $390.9 million in 2025 — the third highest yearly total, with a notable boost in single family and duplex permits. Officials said they hope for strong building activity in 2026, reflecting growing local construction trends. KBHB
- ➤ Rapid City Citizens for Urban Hens launched a petition to amend rules and let residents keep up to six hens. Petitions are at Aqua & Acre Market and The Black Sheep Parlour, and more will be discussed at today's 6 p.m. informational meeting at the Rapid City Public Library. KBHB
