- ➤ Governor Rhoden announced today that South Dakota will pivot its economy to boost national security, with Ellsworth Air Force Base in the Rapid City area set to host the next-generation B-21 Raider as part of the state’s systems approach. KBHB
- ➤ At a full meeting in Piedmont (hosted by local groups) on Saturday, Jan. 10, residents raised concerns about a low-cost license for a proposed mine that could harm the local environment, and legislators plan to review mining laws to better protect the area. Native Sun News
