- ➤ Organizers invite local residents to share ideas for community change at the People’s Agenda Expo, aimed at addressing affordability issues. The expo will be held on Feb. 28 at Journey Museum. Rapid City Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Black Hills Energy filed a rate review proposal with the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission on Feb. 19 to adjust electric base rates, which are expected to raise local residential bills by about $25 starting in August 2026 (final rates are planned for early 2027). KBHB
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Rapid City Rush fell to the Worcester Railers 3-2 at The Monument Ice Arena on Thursday when Cameron Buhl and Quinn Olson scored late in the game. The Rush struggled with offense despite stopping an empty net goal and remain eight points from a playoff spot. KBHB
- ➤ Black Hills State University’s men’s basketball team beat Adams State 79-69 on Thursday night at Plachy Hall — snapping a five-game home win streak for ASU — to capture a one-game lead in the RMAC title race. In a separate contest, the women’s team edged Adams State 68-66 as Bradie Schlbas scored 20 points to secure the tiebreaker. KBHB
