COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Rapid City high school seniors gave back to local community projects on the inaugural Day of Service, using what could have been a day off to volunteer (their first organized effort).  Rapid City Journal

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Rapid City Parks and Recreation Department will host Bloom With Us on April 11 (an event where local youth learn gardening basics) as part of its community programs.  Rapid City Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Rapid City Common Council approved buying the last lot near West South Street and Sioux San Drive for the Legacy Trail Project to create a public park and safe school routes. Black Hills Works and city partners + grant funding will help develop the trail over the next few years.  KBHB

SPORTS NEWS

  • Brinlee McRae scored a career-high 31 points and hit six three-pointers to lead Black Hills State to a 77-62 win over Western Colorado in the RMAC Quarterfinals while Taylin Serlen added 16 points in front of 303 fans.  KBHB
