CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Pennington County Sheriff's Office said that after remains of Sahela Sangrait were found south of Hill City on March 4, law enforcement arrested 24-year-old suspect Quinterius Chappelle—an active duty airman stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base—on federal charges for 2nd Degree Murder and he is held at the county jail pending trial by the United States Attorney’s Office. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The SDHSAA state girls' basketball tournaments ended on March 15 (the final day) in Rapid City, Spearfish and Huron with games played across several classes. Bennett County captured the Class B title with a 71-61 win and O’Gorman secured the Class AA championship with a 47-46 finish (the Knights edged Brandon Valley) while other final placements were decided in additional contests.
