- ➤ An armed suspect robbed a Rapid City convenience store on Monday and remains at large — the suspect was seen wearing a black jacket, stocking cap and face mask. Rapid City Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Rapid City School District released a $250,000 settlement after former teacher Jenny Griffin filed a federal lawsuit alleging that a former principal groomed her, and the agreement states that no party admitted fault (the insurer paid the settlement). KBHB
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lydia Jones, a park ranger at Badlands, was reinstated on March 19 after being terminated on Feb. 14 due to DOGE cuts—she expressed relief at returning to her work amid warnings of potential future cuts affecting federal employees. Rapid City Journal
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Haley Husted and Sierra Steele finished as top individuals for the Black Hills State rodeo teams when they posted runner-up finishes in goat tying and barrel racing at the Cyclone Stampede in Ames, Iowa. The women's team finished fifth with 175 points while the men's team tied for ninth with 80 points. KBHB
