- ➤ The South Dakota Board of Regents elected new officers with Jeff Partridge from Rapid City as president, Randy Frederick from Hayti as vice president, and Miles Beacom from Sioux Falls as secretary; their terms begin after the April 1 to 2 meeting. KBHB
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Shriner's Children will host a free screening clinic for kids with bone, muscle and joint issues on Tuesday, Apr. 7, at their facility. Families in the community can attend the event for a professional evaluation. Rapid City Journal

- ➤ South Dakota Mines Women’s Basketball earned its first-ever win over Regis with a 78-48 victory on Feb. 11 in Rapid City. KBHB
- ➤ On Feb. 24, Augustus Fink of South Dakota Mines Track & Field was named RMAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week after achieving a career-best NCAA DII provisional mark at the Myrle Hansen Open in Colorado Springs. KBHB
- ➤ The Rapid City Rush announced its first NIL deal with two South Dakota Mines student-athletes today — a breakthrough for local sports partnerships. KBHB
- ➤ South Dakota Mines Women’s Basketball returned home on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. to play #4 Colorado Mesa and will host Western Colorado on Saturday at 1 p.m.—their final weekend game. KBHB
- ➤ South Dakota Mines Track & Field broke a new weight throw record by Augustus Fink at the SDSU Indoor Classic, marking the third consecutive week of record-breaking performances. KBHB
- ➤ South Dakota Mines Track & Field will compete at the Myrle Hansen Open at Black Hills State on Saturday as their final meet before the RMAC Championships. KBHB
- ➤ South Dakota Mines Men's Basketball hosted Colorado Mesa last night (Thursday at 7:30 p.m.) at home and will face Western Colorado tomorrow (Saturday at 3 p.m.) as they conclude their season. KBHB
