ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ South Dakota Lottery players benefited from a new multiplier feature during Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing where 440 ticket holders shared a total prize of $8,392—compared to $2,770 without the boost. - ➤ The Rapid City Vision Fund Citizen Committee began touring 29 project sites earlier this week as it reviews proposals for public projects to allocate $12 million in funding—public presentations by applicants will take place from April 22 to April 25 in Council Chambers at City Hall. - ➤ Summit Carbon Solutions sued hundreds of landowners to gain land for a nearly $9 billion pipeline and used eminent domain tactics that local farmers opposed — a new state law banning such use has put the project at risk. The company said most easements were secured voluntarily, but aggressive legal actions and community protests have challenged the pipeline's future — local officials now call for more oversight.
