- ➤ Fire crews are working to contain a wildfire that has covered about 20 acres near Hill City (off Highway 87) as officials monitor conditions and urge residents to steer clear of the area. Rapid City Journal
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Rapid City Stevens Raiders began their season on Thursday with a 16-5 win over the Spearfish Spartans by scoring 13 runs in the fourth inning. The season opener marked a promising start for the team. KBHB
- ➤ The Yellow Jackets (20-19) lost a four-game series to Colorado School of Mines and now aim to bounce back when they meet the undefeated Colorado Christian Cougars (38-2) today and tomorrow at Yellow Jacket Field. KBHB
