- ➤ International student Priya Saxena, a 28-year-old native of India studying chemical and biological engineering at South Dakota Mines, filed a temporary restraining order against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons after her F-1 visa was revoked following a 2021 traffic violation—she faced deportation and loss of student status. A hearing was held at 2 p.m. Friday in federal court as she fought to restore her status and stay in the United States. Rapid City Journal
