- ➤ Rapid City Central High School hosted its first cultural night earlier this week featuring food, song, and performances that celebrated the school’s diverse heritage. Rapid City Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Wildfires are reported this morning near Hermosa and in Fall River County. Fire teams are battling the Murphy Fire burning northwest of Hermosa, which has scorched 350 acres and led to Shorb and Murphy Road closures, while a smaller blaze near Edgemont is burning 3 acres. KBHB

- ➤ Black Hills State will host Fort Lewis in a neutral-site series in Fort Collins this weekend as the Yellow Jackets kick off senior weekend (the team seeks its first series win in three weeks to boost RMAC Tournament hopes). KBHB
- ➤ The Rapid City YMCA and South Dakota Mines have partnered to offer Hardrocker Basketball Camps in Rapid City, led by the SD School of Mines Hardrockers + Women’s Head Basketball Coach Kyley Bachand. Camp dates and details will be announced soon. Rapid City Journal
