- ➤ Three local women firefighters—Tammy Stadel, Tabithia Scott, and Molly Strader—hosted an all-women training course at the Rapid City Fire Department’s training tower on April 23 to boost skills and confidence in crisis response. Organized by the Stoneface Fools nonprofit, the session allowed 18 career and volunteer female firefighters to practice hose deployment and teamwork while planning future events. Rapid City Journal
- ➤ More than 50 fifth graders helped the Parks Department plant 18 trees at Pinedale Elementary School today. Parks Department Arborist Jordan Holt said the event started a season that will see 170—180 more trees planted at Braeburn Dog Park and Cliffside Park. KELOLAND

- ➤ The Vision Fund Citizen Committee held its final public meeting Friday night at City Hall—hearing funding requests ranging from $150,000 to $2.5 million from Canyon Lake Little League, Black Hills Works and the Journey Museum.
