- ➤ Rapid City Area Schools are installing new weapons detection systems at Central and Alternative Academy to help keep a steady flow of students and a positive school climate. The district said the discreet technology will support school security. Rapid City Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The state’s Department of Social Services estimates that federal work requirements for Medicaid will result in possible disenrollment for 1,213 residents through 2027. Officials said they are working with tribal leaders and medical providers to help affected individuals understand the new rules. KBHB

- ➤ The Black Hills State University football team announced its 2026 schedule on Monday afternoon, featuring five home games, including a Swarm Days contest against Fort Lewis and a Battle for the Buckle rivalry game versus Chadron State, plus non-conference matchups with NCAA Division II Playoff qualifiers scheduled later.
