SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Black Hills State University's men's basketball team will partner with Crow Peak Brewing & Pit-14 on Friday, May 1 to host a Basketball, BBQ & Brews Bash to raise funds for postseason expenses in Rapid City. The event runs from 4-6 p.m. with live music to follow. KBHB
- ➤ Black Hills State removed the interim tag and named Kelly Kruger as head women's basketball coach on Tuesday, with Kruger bringing 34 years of head coaching experience from several collegiate programs (including Northwestern College, Southwest Minnesota State, Adams State, Ashford University, and Iowa Central Community College). KBHB
- ➤ Black Hills State University track teams posted strong finishes at the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl. The women earned 40 points (their best finish since 2022) while the men collected 22 points. KBHB
