- ➤ South Dakota’s Department of Tourism agreed to a $700,000 contract with California-based Pyro Spectaculars for the July 3 Freedom 250 Mount Rushmore Fireworks Celebration, which will include alternative lighting and a weather-triggered cancellation option by 7 p.m. The memorial will be closed except for 4,800 ticket holders. - ➤ Area fire crews + first responders responded to Rapid City Regional Airport Thursday afternoon after a small plane made a rough landing, and officials reported no injuries. KBHB

- ➤ ISG acquired Rapid City's ARC International to establish a permanent local presence in design and engineering. The acquisition expands local options and collaboration with South Dakota Mines for internships and workforce development while ARC continues operations under founder Donovan Broberg. KBHB
