- ➤ Oaye Luta Okolakiciye hosted the Fifth Annual Strengthening the Spirit Conference from April 21-23 at The Box Elder Even Center, where culturally grounded recovery methods were presented and a $10,000 grant was received to expand ceremony-assisted treatment programs for addiction and intergenerational trauma in Native communities. - ➤ Rapid City Stevens beat the Sturgis Scoopers 8-2 at McKeague Field, marking their second win over the team and extending Sturgis' losing streak to three. Sturgis will host the Pierre Governors in a doubleheader at Strong Field on Sunday at 1 p.m. KBHB

- ➤ St Thomas More won both team and individual titles at the Sturgis Invite Golf Tournament held at Boulder Canyon Country Club on Thursday - the Cavaliers scored 318 while their golfers finished in the top five, led by Rylan Horning's 73. KBHB
- ➤ Black Hills State University rodeo teams are nearing national qualifier spots at the 67th annual Cornhusker College Rodeo at the Sandhills Global Event Center after five competitors, including Jayda Reinert + others, finished in the top four of their events; their performances set the stage for bids to the College National Finals Rodeo. - ➤ Yesterday, the Yellow Jackets played two close baseball games, losing a 2 to 1 pitcher's duel and a 10 to 9 contest when Mesa scored nine unanswered runs, leaving BHSU despite strong efforts from Kaitlyn Geschwill and Jessica Melendez. KBHB
