- ➤ The Spearfish Spartans came back to secure an 11-5 win over the Sturgis Scoopers on Apr. 23 at Black Hills Energy Field, completing a season sweep and marking a sixth straight loss for the Scoopers. Sturgis will face a doubleheader at McKeague Field Friday. KBHB
- ➤ Randy Doran, head women's golf coach at Black Hills State, signed Megan Robb — a high school standout from South Heart — yesterday as part of his 2026 Yellow Jackets class, joining freshman Madison Brown from Evanston. She will look to impact the team next fall. KBHB
