- ➤ Sturgis hosted the annual Black Hills Classic Track and Field Meet Saturday where West River athletes and locals broke school and meet records in multiple events. Standouts included the Scoopers in relay races, Peyton Van Deest in the 1600m run, and Laila Ratzsch clearing 12 feet in the pole vault. KBHB
- ➤ Legion baseball games on Saturday saw Rapid City Post 22 win a doubleheader against Laramie by a 14-0 shutout and a 4-3 finish, while Post 320 Stars split their twin bill, beating Casper 6-4 before losing 6-2. KBHB
- ➤ At the Franson Last Chance meet in Azusa, local athlete Evie Boyd broke her own 5,000m record by finishing in 16:56.38, becoming the first Yellow Jacket to run under 17 minutes during the final weekend of Black Hills State University meets. KBHB
