CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Rapid City man Cruz Mario Lara Larios, 38, was sentenced on Feb. 14 to 10 years in federal prison+ five years suspended following a major drug trafficking investigation. Rapid City Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Priya Saxena, a former South Dakota Mines student and recent PhD graduate, had her student visa revoked because of a 2021 traffic misdemeanor but had her status later reinstated after receiving notice last month. Federal court heard arguments yesterday regarding a preliminary injunction that would stop Homeland Security from revoking her status again and let her apply for a work visa in her study area. KBHB
