  • A Rapid City woman was arrested after an officer pulled her over and saw her smoking a pill from a glass pipe — she then fled as the officer pursued her.  Rapid City Journal

ECONOMY NEWS

  • GasBuddy’s survey shows that South Dakota gas prices remain unchanged today at $2.95 per gallon—prices are 1.3 cents lower than last month and 25.3 cents lower than a year ago, with a range from $2.54 to $3.74 across 628 stations. National gasoline prices have risen 6.1 cents per gallon, adding context as motorists await upcoming summer travel forecasts.  KBHB
  • South Dakota’s wind energy industry is fueling job growth as technical colleges update programs to meet high demand from expanding wind farms. Matthew Pearson returned to Mitchell Tech as its first wind energy instructor after a successful wiring career — a move that marks renewed workforce opportunities in renewable energy.  South Dakota News Watch
