- ➤ Monique 'Muffie' Mousseau and Felipa De Leon opened Rapid City's first Indigenous-led Two-Spirit safe space, Uniting Resilience, at 705 E. Watertown St. with about 30 community members present. The center will offer well-briety groups+ counseling and job application help for local Two-Spirit people around the Black Hills. Rapid City Journal

- ➤ Tourism promoters from Great American West said international travel to the Black Hills remained steady as visitors from Europe kept booking trips despite some cancellations from Canada — the 29th annual International Roundup in Rapid City on May 8-9 brought 46 buyers and 111 sellers from four states. - ➤ Rapid City police arrested 28-year-old Jobeth Morrisette from Batesland Wednesday at a hotel on Luna Avenue after she refused to leave and grabbed a pair of scissors to attack an officer—she now faces charges for aggravated assault on law enforcement, impersonation to deceive law enforcement, resisting arrest, and a probation hold.
