- ➤ Former Rapid City mayor Steve Allender and Pennington County State’s Attorney Lara Roetzel testified in two days of court hearings on an aggravated assault case against NDN Collective founder Nick Tilsen, who is charged after his truck moved toward a police officer on June 11. Defense attorneys questioned missing body camera audio and a delay in charges — issues that will be reviewed in an Aug. 1 hearing — while Tilsen denies the charges. Rapid City Journal
