- ➤ Ally Formanek was named the new Visit Rapid City CEO and said she will lead efforts to market Rapid City as a top destination for tourism, meetings and sports nationally — using digital and out-of-home ads to draw more visitors. She served as interim CEO since April 1 and brings almost 30 years of local residency and over 15 years of tourism experience — a background that will guide her strategy for the future. - ➤ KELOLAND Living Bowling Card launches this year to help local alleys drive more customers and improve sales—offering six games or two hours of bowling at Sport Bowl and 25 other centers. - ➤ Authorities in the Northern Hills said a 59-year-old Iowa man named Larry Petersen died when a 9mm handgun was fired during a fight at a rental cabin south of Lead at 5:22 p.m. on June 12—a dispute involving four men in a UTV riding group is under investigation. KBHB
- ➤ Rapid City Police responded at around 10:05 p.m. Sunday to a report of gunshots on the 1600 block of Kellogg Place in Star Village - they are investigating the shooting. Rapid City Journal
- ➤ A Rapid City woman was arrested on suspicion of a second DUI, possession of a controlled substance, a move over violation, and no proof of insurance — she nearly hit an officer during the incident. Rapid City Journal

- ➤ Two agriculture events are underway in Deadwood today — the R-CALF USA National Convention began on June 17 and will run through June 19, while the Governor’s Agricultural Summit features speakers like Alan Hojer and a forestry tour on its second day. KBHB
