- ➤ Roy Sprister, a World War II veteran honored on local banners, received 15-day passes in June and August to visit his wife and son — his final family visits before he fought in key battles including the Battle of the Bulge. - ➤ Rapid City police are investigating a stabbing that occurred late Wednesday night at the 420 block of E. Fairmont where a man with multiple stab wounds was taken to hospital—police said the suspect is believed to have known the victim. KBHB

- ➤ Dr. Dawn Tobacco-Frank was honored by the SDSU Alumni Association as a distinguished alumna for 2025 for her leadership in education and Native community advancement.
