ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A hiker fell 30 feet from the top of the mountain (Battle Mountain) near Hot Springs last Saturday and climbed to a parking area where first responders rescued him by placing him on a UTV for ambulance transport, with officials saying he had only minor injuries. KBHB

- ➤ The Sturgis Scoopers won their season opener with a 26—21 win over the Brookings Bobcats at Woodle Field, marking their 11AA debut. They will travel to Douglas next Friday at 6 p.m. to face the Patriots. KBHB
