- ➤ Jonathan Eagle Elk pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter for aiding in the death of Maria Makes Him First and to second-degree murder for Louis Swift Bird's death, was found incompetent after a competency evaluation — and will be admitted to a federal medical facility for further evaluation and treatment. - ➤ Rapid City Police said a visiting man was robbed and assaulted after he asked a woman for marijuana advice Saturday night—police arrested 25-year-old Shayna Long on charges including first degree robbery and recovered some of the victim’s property while still searching for the male suspect.
