Good morning, Rapid City.

The Salvation Army and local law enforcement hosted their annual event where about 50 children from Rapid City and Pine Ridge shopped for new back-to-school outfits — local officers provided support during the trip.

The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets lost 0—3 to Colorado Christian in their home opener in Spearfish as the Cougars built early leads in each set.

Randi Wellhoefer and Emily Freeland led the Yellow Jackets with a combined 17 kills and 14 digs, but their efforts could not turn the match around.
