- ➤ Monument Health Rapid City Hospital earned an 'A' Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, making it the only hospital in South Dakota with this top rating. The score was based on over 30 measures that checked for errors, infections and safe care practices. KBHB
- ➤ Dr. Mendel Miller, the state veterinarian, advised horse owners to take extra precautions after a serious virus reached the state — the disease can be fatal to horses. Rapid City Journal
