- ➤ Congress passed a Wounded Knee sacred site bill championed by South Dakota lawmakers after years of advocacy — the measure came months after the Defense Department said Medal of Honor winners from the massacre would keep their medals. Rapid City Journal

- ➤ The Black Hills State men's basketball team beat the UCCS Mountain Lions 97–92 at A2 Arena on Thursday night — Cam Lowe scored 26 points, and 15 team three-pointers, 23 assists, and 25 free throws helped fend off a late 20–7 run — to secure another RMAC win. KBHB
- ➤ The Sturgis Scooper wrestling squad outlasted West Central with a 51-21 win on Thursday night, earning 18 points from forfeits and wins by six wrestlers while the girls took part in select matches after a scheduled dual with Dickinson was cancelled (due to weather). KBHB
