- ➤ South Dakota School of Mines and Dakota BioWorx launched a bioprocessing partnership that began pilot production last month turning corn stover into nanogels for future medical uses; the project will scale to industrial volumes in coming months and offers hands-on learning for local students. - ➤ Local farmers in Sturgis are using corn stover as winter feed for beef cattle in a cost-effective way that nourishes animals and returns nutrients to the soil; some also bale stalks for bedding and improved moisture retention. KBHB

- ➤ Rapid City Rush announced a new partnership with rodeo legend Lisa Lockhart, known for her decorated barrel racing career, to boost support for hockey and rodeo events.
