- ➤ Gov. Rhoden and the Department of Health announced today that South Dakota secured $189.4 million in federal funds for rural health through the five-year Rural Health Transformation Program — a move to modernize care in rural areas. - ➤ On Monday afternoon, first responders in Johnson Siding turned an emergency call into a training exercise when Fire Department Medic 5 + Black Hills LifeFlight practiced air ambulance operations while a landing zone was set up near Rimrock Community Church and paramedics later found the patient did not need transport.
