The district hasn't passed a bond since 1976, KOTA reported. A $189.5 million proposal in 2020 won a majority but missed the 60% threshold. Supporters gathered for a watch party at the Rushmore Hotel on election night. The totals stay unofficial until election officials canvass and certify them.
