  • A couple in Lemmon transformed an abandoned Main Street house into Grandma’s Chocolates nearly four years ago, where Ann Abel crafts chocolate treats six days a week. The shop is open (Mon-Sat, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and also sells products at local vendor fairs.  Dakota News Now

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Cooler weather and possible snow are expected to assist firefighters containing the Qury Fire south of Custer as it burns across an estimated 7,000 acres — with no containment while crews continue burnout and infrared mapping operations amid ongoing evacuations and road closures, and the county has issued a burn ban.  KBHB

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Friday at The Monument Ice Arena, the Wichita Thunder scored late to beat the local Rush 3 to 2, with Gavin Best’s first professional goal breaking the tie; the late surge sets up the rubber game tomorrow (Rush Fights Cancer Night) as Rapid City concludes its homestand.  KBHB
